ALONDRA DE LA PARRA

Conductor

Alondra de la Parra has gained widespread attention for her spellbinding and vibrant performances and her commitment to Latin American composers. She has conducted over 100 of the world's most prestigious orchestras including Orchestre de Paris, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Bamberg Symphony, Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, São Paulo Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.


From 2017 until 2019, she was Music Director of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, making her the first ever Music Director of an Australian orchestra. She is an official Cultural Ambassador of Mexico, where she saw platinum-level sales of her first album "Mi Alma Mexicana" and, in 2017, was named international brand ambassador for Mercedes-Benz. Since July 2017, Deutsche Welle broadcasts „Musica Maestra“, a new classical format featuring Alondra de la Parra as both protagonist and reporter in a series of several web videos and television shows.


Highlights of previous seasons include Carlos Padrissa’s highly acclaimed staged production of Mozart Thamos, King in Egypt with Camerata Salzburg and the theatre collective La Fura dels Baus at the 2019 Salzburg Mozartwoche (repeated at the Festival de Pâques in Aixen-Provence), concerts with Orchestre de Paris (broadcast live on ARTE), Verbier Festival Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and a live orchestral performance of the film West Side Story to a capacity 10,000 audience at Mexico’s Auditorio Nacional.

This season she will conduct the world premiere of Joby Talbot’s Like Water for Chocolate for the Royal Ballet at Covent Garden, working alongside choreographer Christopher Wheeldon. She will also conduct the Kenneth Macmillan production of Romeo and Juliet (also for the Royal Ballet) and Swanlake for Staatsballett Berlin.

GABRIELA MUÑÓZ

Artist

Gabriela has a variety of experience in theatre, circus
and opera. She finished her studies at the London
International School of Performing Arts (LISPA) based
on Jacques Lecoq´s pedagogy, following a 2-year
postgraduate course and a year course at the School of Physical Theatre in London. In 2009 she co founded the company CLOWN ME IN with fellow colleague Sabine Choucair (Lebanon) and has worked as a volunteer with Clowns Without Borders USA since 2011.


In 2010, she created “Perhaps Perhaps Quizás”, her
first clown show. „…Quizas“ premiered in New York in
2010 and since then it has been performed around the
world to various clown and theatre festivals in America,
Australia, South America, Europe and Asia.Described
as “at once beautifully poignant as it is hilarious” Muñoz moves her audience through pathos to humor, keeping her audience on the edge of their seats as they move between her reality and her imagination (Café des Artistes).

In February 2015, with the support of EFI TEATRO, INBA and Co Productions she premiered her second creation, “Limbo”, in Mexico City. Limbo has been performed at Teatro Milan and Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris in collaboration with Latin Grammy winners Natalia Lafourcade and Ernesto García. Limbo was revisited in 2016 with the support of the Kone Foundation in Finland and premiered at ¨Thêatre du Passage¨ in Avignon, France.


She has worked with Finnish dance company, Hurjaruuth, on the new creation of Pinokkio directed by Sanna Silvennoinen Circo Aereo). In 2019 she created DIRT!, which was nominated for a City Award for best show and in 2020, as a celebration of her 10 years as a clown, she published a book (CHULA THE CLOWN) edited by Sicomoro Ediciones. That same year she
received a medal for her international merit by the
Congress of Mexico City in the field of cultural promotion.

REBEKKA DORNHEGE REYES

Costume Design

The German Chilean artist Rebekka Dornhege Reyes graduated her Stage & Costume Design diploma studies with honor at the Berlin University of Arts in 2009. In addition to her work as a set and costume designer, Dornhege Reyes established herself as a stylist and scenographer for film, fashion and art productions. The connection between these different areas defines the character of her work. In 2007 she started KALAIDOSKOPIA, a social theater project with street children in Chile. Dornhege Reyes is also part of
the creative collectiveVON JUNE and co-founder of the fashion label MIJUNE, which was founded in 2011.

 

Since 2014 she has been leading the "Stage Design" seminar series at the UdK Berlin. Rebekka Dornhege Reyes realized Stage and Costume Designs at various Theatres, among others "Frankenstein" at the Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen, "Punk Rock" at the Schauspiel Frankfurt, "Tristan & Isolde, Isolde, Isolde" at the Volksbühne Berlin, "Burn Baby Burn" at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, "A Midsummer Night´s Dream" at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden, "Wolfskinder" at the Neuköllner Opera Berlin and "Maria de Buenos Aires" at the Theater Trier.

After the highly acclaimed production of “Wolfskinder” based on Humperdinck's Hänsel and Gretel at the Neukölln Opera in Berlin, for which Rebekka Dornhege Reyes created the stage and costume design in 2018, engagements for the children's opera house of the State Opera Unter den Linden Berlin followed. You can currently see her Stage & Costume Design for Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo at the Musiktheater im Revier in
Gelsenkirchen. An interdisciplinary production in cooperation with the director and choreographer of the dance company Giuseppe Spota and the director Rahel Thiel, which premiered in October 2020.

MARIONA OMEDES

Director and Art Director

In 2011 she received the National Prize for Culture of Catalonia awarded by CoNCA, in the audiovisual category. She develops her knowledge by working for ten years (1989-1999) in the digital post-production company Oframe, which she ended up running.


From 2000 to 2008, he worked as a freelance, for clients such as the Gran teatre del Liceu, the Palau de la Música Catalana, the CCCB, TVE, Canal +, Bausan Films and collaborated with artists such as Bigas Luna, Jose Luis Guerin, Federic Amat, Manuel Huerga, Mariscal or El Tricicle.

She currently is the co-director of At digital art studio Nueveojos, a company dedicated to audiovisual communication with the world of arts, culture and
entertainment, communicating ideas through extraordinary images.

 

She and her codirector Carles Mora sign responsible for the incredible imagery of Silence of Sound.
